Kent v Middlesex
KENT return to four-day cricket on Wednesday with the crucial championship visit of Middlesex to Canterbury.
It gives David Fulton's side the chance to return to the top of the table, with Sussex not playing until Thursday and Nottinghamshire with no fixture this week.
The match at St Lawrence marks the return of former Kent players Ed Smith and Peter Trego, who both hit form in their side’s last game against Nottinghamshire when Smith scored 128 and Trego bagged six for 59.
Meanwhile, Kent Spitfires remain next to bottom of the totesport League second division after their day-night clash with Surrey was abandoned due to rain.
Heavy and persistent showers ensured no play was possible in Kennington and that the two struggling sides shared two points apiece.
