Canterbury 20 Lydney 17
A PENALTY by David Dorton four minutes from time earned Canterbury a narrow but important National League South win over Lydney at Merton Lane on Saturday.
The victory took the city club into the top four for the first time this season, and also dented the Gloucestershire visitors hopes of promotion, after a spirited and determined second half display.
The home side led 12-0, only to trail 14-12 at half-time.
