City rugby men suffer first defeat

Mount's Bay 29 Canterbury 21

CANTERBURY made the long trip to Cornwall on Saturday but came away after losing their first game of the National League 3 South season.

The city club lost 29-21 to a tough Mount's Bay side having flown to Newquay airport on the morning of the game.

Bay are now the only undefeated team in the whole of the national league after winning the battle of the two sides who had begun their campaigns with six straight wins.

Canterbury slipped from second to third in the division after London Scottish ran-out 54-10 winners over Barking to send them second.

Canterbury stayed in the top three after fourth-placed Cinderford lost 22-39 at home to Bridgwater and Albion.
