Canterbury 30 Rosslyn Park 27
THE last kick of a dramatic match saw Canterbury Rugby Club snatch a 30-27 victory over Rosslyn Park in National League Division 3 South.
A penalty goal by Wessel Wolmarans was the climax of a remarkable second half recovery after Park led by a daunting 27-3 in Saturday's encounter.
Wolmarans kicked an early penalty goal to open the scoring but Park’s entertaining and skilful handling seemed to have won the game by the interval.
However, within two minutes of the restart, Andy Pratt scored a try and further scores from Rowan O’Gorman and skipper Chris Hinkins set up the winning position for Wolmarans, who had missed two conversions from a similar position.
