Cricket clubs ready for county finals day

THE six-a-side county indoor cricket finals take place at the Kent Cricket Academy on Sunday, February 3.

The programme gets under way at 9.30am with the first quarter-final between Canterbury taking on Ashford .

Betteshanger take on Nonington at 10.45am with Blackheath facing Broadstairs at noon, before the final game between Sheldwich and Gateway, at 1.15pm.

The winners of match one will play the winners of match two in the first semi-final at 2.30pm, with the other two semi-finalists playing at 3.45pm.

The final is epxected to take place around 5.15pm with the winner going on to face the Sussex champions (either Preston Nomads or Cuckfield) at the Portslade Centre, Brighton on Sunday, February 17.

The ECB regional finals will be at the Kent Cricket Academy on Sunday, February 24, start 2pm with the national finals at Lord’s on Sunday, March 16.

Broadstairs have made the national finals four times in the past 10 years and were betaen finalists in 2007.
