MONDAY, September 3 is re-development D-Day for Kent members after the club announced that will be date of the special general meeting required to vote on their plans to sell two plots of their 16.2 acre St Lawrence headquarters for housing.
The expected £6m-plus income from cashing in on the two prime development sites of the Bat and Ball Field and net practice area next to St Lawrence Forstal would help fund a much-needed facelift at Kent's historic ground at Canterbury.
Members wishing to make their views known can attend a presentation at the Ashford International Hotel and cast their votes by hand but, under club regulations, the county will also have to accept postal and proxy votes.
