Joe Denly has been named in the England Test and one day international squads for the tour in the West Indies in 2019.
Denly was selected for the series in Sri Lanka in November but did no feature in any of the three Tests.
Speculation had been growing in the days leading up to the squad announcement that England selectors may choose Jason Roy ahead of Denly.
However, they have resisted making any changes ahead of the tour starting in January and an unchanged squad of 16 was named.
Tom Curran and David Willey return for the five-match ODI series starting in February, with Sam Curran, Liam Dawson and Olly Stone left out.
The squad for the three-match T20 series in March will be named later.
