Kent all-rounder Joe Denly picked up four wickets to help England to a 30 run win over Sri Lanka in Colombo.
Denly, in his first international T20 match for eight years, picked up the man-of-the-match award after taking 4-19 with his leg-spin.
The 32-year-old opened the bowling and removed both Sri Lanka openers. He then returned to bowl the final over of the innings and picked up two more wickets as the hosts were all out for 157.
Spin proved effective for England as Adil Rashid also claimed 3-11.
Batting first, England posted 187-8 with Jason Roy top scoring with 69 off 36 balls.
Denly scored a useful 20 from 17 balls batting in the unfamiliar position of seven.
The T20 match has brought to an end a successful white ball tour for England where they also won the severely rain affected ODI series 3-1.
Denly was called up to the 50-over squad as a replacement for Liam Dawson but did not get a game.
He is also part of the England Test squad that will play a three match series with Sri Lanka.
The first Test begins on November 6 in Galle.
