Peter Hogben came home first in the Cystic Fibrosis Trust Faversham 10k on Sunday.

The Canterbury Harriers runner came home first from a field of 353 to win in 34min 45secs.

James Gibson (Army Tri, 35.14) and Kris Noble (Sittingbourne Striders, 36.00) filled the podium.

Piotr Lazarewicz (M40 unattached, 37.40), Kevan James (M50 Ashford and District, 38.59) and Martin Knapp (M60 Invicta, 45.15) were the leading master athletes.

Kerrie Clarke (W35 Medway and Maidstone, 41.33) took the women’s race from Claire Penney (unattached, 42.01) and Catherine Harvey (Medway and Maidstone, 42.22).

Kim Howes (W45 Larkfield, 43.20) and Jacqueline Elvy (W60 unattached, 47.18) were the best of the higher age-group athletes.

On Sunday morning, 600 runners took part in the Hospice in the Weald 10k.

Will Levett and Tina Oldershaw were the individual winners.

Levett (Tonbridge AC) races infrequently but is a class act having won the 2010 Paddock Wood half marathon and placed third in the county cross country championships.

He finished two minutes clear on the hilly course in 34min20sec.

Tina Oldershaw (W45 Paddock Wood, 38.48) finished seventh overall.
