THE Christmas spirit – and Christmas pudding – will be in plentiful supply for runners in the inaugural Kent Christmas Cracker race in Canterbury in December.

Runners will be running the five-mile course to raise money for the Kent MS Therapy Centre in Canterbury and each finisher will receive a Christmas pudding, with a warming glass of punch on hand as well.

The race is on Saturday, December 16, and anybody over the age of 15 can take part.

In addition to the main race there will also a two-mile fun run and a children’s one-mile Santa Dash.

The event will raise funds for the Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre.

Centre representative Christine Lux said: “We hope it will become an annual race. I hope we can raise a good amount to help our appeal to build a new £1.5 million centre.”

The race will start at 10.30am from the centre, off Nackington Road, next to Canterbury Rugby Club, with the children’s race scheduled to begin at 10.15am.

Entry forms are available from the Kent MS Therapy Centre, 01227 470876, or from the organisers, Nice Work, on 01797 230730, by email at info@nice-work.org.uk or by visiting www.nice-work.org.uk
