Lloyd Norris-Jones admits he has made a “dream start” to life at Canterbury Hockey Club with three hat-tricks in as many games.
And the 22-year old South Africa international, in England on a six-month hockey ‘holiday’, is the first to pay tribute to his new Polo Farm team-mates.
“They are a talented bunch of guys who have helped me by creating loads of chances,” he said. “Everybody has made me feel welcome and it’s been quite a dream start to perform the way I have.
“My main aim coming here was to get more experience and to play a better standard than at home and I have found it quite challenging.”
Norris-Jones is here to play the first half of the English domestic season and is staying in Bridge, mixing hockey with sightseeing.
He started with three goals in the HA Cup at Oxted and then bagged three more against the same side in the league the following week.
He completed his ‘hat-trick of hat-tricks’ in the 5-3 Conference East win at Kent rivals Holcombe on Sunday.
