Kent book return trip to Channel Isles

KENT'S cricketers have earned themselves another end-of-term trip to the Channel Isles next year after overcoming Essex in a challenge match in Guernsey.

Kent dismissed Essex for 163 in the Lord's Taverner's charity game played at the King George V playing fields and duly knocked off the runs courtesy of a century, second-wicket stand between Amjad Khan and Min Patel.

Kent are now pencilled in to play Somerset in next season's event.
