Kent pair Sam Billings and Joe Denly have both been named in England’s squads for the white-ball series against Australia.
England face Australia in the first of three Vitality IT20 matches on Friday at the Ageas Bowl and have included both Billings and Denly in a 14-man squad.
In addition, Denly has also been named as a reserve for the Royal London Series. The ODI series against Australia starts on Friday, September 11, with all three matches to be played at Old Trafford.
All of the matches will be played behind closed doors.
The T20I series continues with games on Sunday, September 6 and Tuesday, September 8. One-day matches take place on September 11, 13 and 16.
National selector Ed Smith said: “These two series against Australia provide an exciting end to the summer. We have selected strong squads. We are also continuing to develop depth in preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cups.”
Both Billings and Denly will remain unavailable for Kent, who are back in action today (Tuesday) in the Vitality Blast.
Their third game of the competition is against Surrey, at Canterbury. The first game against Hampshire was washed out and their second match against Middlesex ended in a thrilling tie. Kent had been in strong positions in both encounters.
Kent are live-streaming the match from 1.30pm onwards via their website.
