THE date for Kent's eagerly anticipated Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy fourth round tie against Warwickshire has been set for Wednesday, June 19.
Confusion surrounded the date for the showdown between the two great one-day rivals because of possible television scheduling, but the match will take place at St Lawrence having now been overlooked for live coverage.
Incredibly, it will be the 11th time the sides have been drawn against each other in the 38-year history of the event with Warwickshire holding an historical advantage of having won each of the last six Trophy matches.
The last meeting in particular was disappointing for many Kent supporters when a Brian Lara inspired Warwickshire swept Kent aside in the fourth round by 167 runs at Edgbaston in 1998.
This latest contest in Canterbury will be an all-pay match. Admission will be £12 for adults, including members, with concessions at £8. Parking is £10, but free for members with a car pass.
The same rates will apply for the Kent versus West Indies A and the Kent against India matches on Sunday, June 23, and Monday, 24 respectively, though members privileges apply as per Norwich Union League matches on those two dates.
