Lloyd Norris-Jones hit a hat-trick as Canterbury men's 1sts thrashed Ipswich 9-2 in Men's Conference East on Saturday.

The visitors went ahead after just two minutes when Matt Harper fired home.

Keir Dixon pulled Ipswich level after five minutes before Michael Farrer restored Canterbury's lead.

Goals from Lloyd Norris-Jones and Barratt (2) gave Canterbury a 5-1 lead at half-time.

In the second half, further goals from Norris-Jones (2), Jess Dowsing and Stuart Goodman completed the rout.

Ed Driver scored a consolation for the home side.

Canterbury ladies 1sts secured a 2-0 win over Ipswich in the Women's Premier Division on Saturday.

Jenny Hall opened the scoring from a penalty corner while Cindy Botha added the second from open play.
