NEW Zealander Rowan O'Gorman makes his first appearance of the season for Canterbury Rugby Club when they travel to Gloucestershire this Saturday to meet undefeated National League 3 leaders Lydney.
O'Gorman takes the Number Eight position with Ryan Gregory moving up to the second row.
The introduction of O'Gorman has forced head coach Danny Vaughan to leave centre and goalkicker James Reilly out of the team.
Under National Division rules only two overseas players can be Included and, with the arrival of Australian flanker Tim Aistrope, Canterbury now have three on their books.
Vaughan said: "I decided that the pack needed beefing up for this match and James is the unlucky one who drops out this time.
"I have explained the situation to him and assured him that he will always be in the frame."
Scrum half Paddy Gill, who was first choice for his previous club Ealing, will take over Reilly's goal kicking duties.
Having lost their first two games of the season, after promotion, Canterbury have won their last two, defeating Old Patesians 33-10 last weekend.
