CLUB policy on and off the field will be discussed at Monday night's annual meeting of Kent County Cricket Club in Ashford.
Having announced slight pre-tax losses of £7,381 for the year ending October 31, 2007, members will be keen to know how the £10m re-development of the county's St Lawrence headquarters in Canterbury – due to start next month – will help turn around the club's financial fortunes.
Some members have expressed concerns that the planned 130-bed hotel, health and leisure complex and conference centre will prove to be white elephants, while others believe new housing on the site and building work may lead to parking problems and even worse traffic congestion on Canterbury match days.
The meeting will be the last to be chaired by Carl Openshaw, who is standing down from the committee and the chairmanship.
His successor will be appointed at the committee meeting immediately following the AGM, when Chilham-based businessman and 2007 president, George Kennedy, and the club's honorary medical advisor and ex-president, Richard Collins, will be the undoubted front-runners.
