Kent have agreed a deal for bowler Matt Quinn to rejoin the club.
The Essex paceman will move to Kent initially on loan for the remainder of the season - across all formats - before a three-year permanent deal with the county kicks in from 2022.
The 28-year-old played four County Championship matches on loan for Kent this season, taking 12 wickets at an average of 19.33.
Quinn said: “I’m excited to join Kent permanently after a really enjoyable loan spell for me over the past couple of months.
“Everyone at the club, including the players, staff and members, made me feel so welcome.
"I can’t wait to be a Kent player once more, and to contribute towards future success for this county.”
Quinn has 135 wickets at 29.23 in first-class cricket and 70 wickets at 26.84 in T20s.
Kent director of cricket Paul Downton said: “We’re delighted that Matt has chosen to join us on a long-term basis.
“He has already shown his ability in a Kent shirt this season and he fitted in really well in the dressing room during his loan spell.
"He brings something different to our seam attack as we continually look to improve the strength and depth of our squad.”
