Rasch on form in Canterbury victory

Lydney 20 Canterbury 36

FLY-HALF Sam Rasch helped himself to 21 points as Canterbury won 36-20 at Lydney to record their first win in three National League 3 South matches.

Rasch scored four penalties, a drop goal and converted all three Canterbury's three tries as the Kent side put behind them back to back defeats against Mounts Bay and Ealing.

Mike Melford grabbed two tries with Miles Littlechild the other scorer.

The result kept Danny Vaughan's side in fourth ahead of Saturday's home match with Luton.

They are due at Lydney again on Saturday week when the teams meet in the second round of the EDF Energy Trophy.
