Kent wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson will join Durham on loan for this season’s T20 Blast.
Robinson, 23, will still be available for Kent in the County Championship, and he may be recalled from his loan at any time - in case of an injury to a Kent player or an England call-up.
He scored just 66 runs in his first five knocks of the summer but responded recently with three successive half-centuries.
Kent director of cricket Paul Downton said: “Ollie is a really talented young player and both he and Kent will benefit from Robbo experiencing increased playing time during the Vitality Blast.
“We wish him well at Durham and look forward to welcoming him back into the squad for our next Championship fixture.”
Robinson played for Kent in last week’s drawn County Championship match against Northamptonshire and scored 21 from 15 balls in the first innings.
Reigning champions Kent will start their T20 Blast season against Somerset at The Spitfire Ground, Canterbury, on Wednesday in a repeat of last season's final.
The following day, Durham will visit Leicestershire for their first game of their T20 Blast campaign.
