KENT fast bowler Ben Trott has agreed terms on a new a contract with the club for next season.

Trott, who will be joining batsman Rob Key and bowler Amjad Khan in Australia in the New Year, had come to the end of his previous deal.

Wicketkeeper Niall O'Brien has signed as cover for Geraint Jones. All-rounders Matt Dennington and Alex Loudon, as well as spinner Rob Ferley, have agreed full-time contracts with the county.

Kent are continuing discussions with a number of potential overseas players for next season.

Negotiations are also being held with all-rounder Peter Trego who has a year left on his contract.
