Sky plan extra visits to St Lawrence

THE cameras of Sky Sports will be more frequent visitors to Kent’s St Lawrence ground this summer.

The satellite broadcasters, who seem to have shied away from the Garden of England in recent summers, announced four trips to the historic Canterbury ground in their recently released summer schedule.

They will cover the new Twenty20 Cup match against Surrey on Monday, June 23, and both of Spitfires’ floodlit National Cricket League matches against Worcester Royals on Monday, August 11 and then against Surrey Lions on Wednesday, September 3.

In addition, Sky will be covering the NatWest One-Day International at Canterbury between South Africa and Zimbabwe on Sunday, June 29.

Kent’s faithful will also be able to watch their team in action on at least two other occasions with live broadcasts of Essex against Kent from Chelmsford on Saturday, May 10 and then Gloucestershire versus the Spitfires on Wednesday, August 27.
