St Lawrence to host women's knockout cup clash

INVICTA Ladies Cricket Club welcome Brighton & Hove Ladies to St Lawrence ground at Canterbury on Saturday, August 28, for the semi-final of the Women's National Knockout Cup.

Brighton, the current women's National Premier League champions, take on Invicta, previous champions and former cup winners. Both teams are captained by England internationals with Clare Connor the

England skipper, leading out Brighton, while England's vice-captain, Charlotte Edwards, is at the Invicta helm.

In addition, the Brighton team will include England internationals Rosalie Birch and Mandy Dodliman, while Invicta name Jenni Wallace, who plays for Australian state side New South Wales.

The 40 overs per-side game starts at noon and spectators will be most welcome.
