KENT'S St Lawrence headquarters has finished top in a Times survey of the facilities at the 18 first-class county cricket grounds.
The survey, carried out by The Times former cricket correspondent Alan Lee, put Kent top with 81 points from a possible 100, just one ahead of Worcestershire’s New Road ground and two more than Trent Bridge in Nottinghamshire.
The ground scored a maximum 10 for viewing and shelter for supporters, nine for aesthetics and atmosphere and eight for its bar and catering facilities.
