WHILE his team-mates do battle with Graeme Smith’s South African tourists later this week, Kent skipper David Fulton will be visiting a specialist.

He will be is having a tiny plastic tube removed from the right eye he damaged during a freak pre-season training accident.

"It’s a small piece of tubing that was put in during my surgery back in April to help repair the tear duct," said Fulton.

"It's time for that to come out now but it should be a quick job under local anaesthetic. I should be fine for Monday’s National League game."

The floodlit clash with Worcestershire Royals on Monday evening has now taken on ‘must win’ billing following Sunday’s dramatic tie with Essex.

Kent will be without all-rounder Matthew Dennington after he broke the ring finger of his left hand while fielding for club side St Lawrence and Highland Court last weekend.

Alex Loudon, with a brace of second ball ducks in his two appearances to date, may yet win a reprieve, but Peter Trego is fit again after groin trouble.

Kent’s first day-night game of the summer starts at 4.10pm with a scheduled close of 10.20pm.

Parking at the ground will be restricted and club officials are again suggesting supporters get to the ground early if at all possible. Admission is £14 adults and £8 concessions.
