After a landslide promotion in their first season since reforming, Canterbury City FC's 1st team are looking to repeat the job this year in the Kent County League Division 1 East.

The Kentish Gazette caught up with some of the club's players and officials as they put in their final pre-season preparations against Hersden-based side Premier last week.

City open up their 2008/09 league campaign at home to Betteshanger Welfare this coming Saturday (September 6).

The match at Bridge Recreation Ground kicks off at 2.45pm
