Whitstable joint-boss Danny Ward says his players will need no motivation to beat Hythe when the teams meet at Reachfields on Saturday.
The Oystermen travel to Reachfields five points outside the Ryman League Division 1 South play-offs but Tim Dixon's men have been Whitstable’s bogey team this season.
They knocked the Oystermen out of the FA Cup in September, winning 4-0 at Reachfields, before claiming a 2-0 league victory at the Belmont in October.
Ward said: “It’s about time we won against them. The 2-0 defeat at home annoyed me and in the FA Cup game, we just didn’t play well.
“We’ve told the players to remember how they celebrated – and not to let that happen again.”
Whitstable, who beat Sittingbourne 4-1 on Saturday, are looking to put more pressure on fifth-placed Whyteleafe and Worthing, in sixth, as they chase the final play-off spot.
Ward said: “We’ve got 11 games left and I think we need to win eight, to get to 75 points. It’s very tight.
“We’ve won our last five Kent derbies, three at home and two away and we’ve scored 17 goals in that run. At any level, that’s fantastic.”
Ollie Lee completes his three-match ban but Whitstable have no fresh injury concerns.
