Winter rallycross is to return to Lydden Hill in January, reviving one of the circuit's most historic events.
The New Year meeting - which was once a permanent fixture on the Canterbury track's calendar - has not been held for a number of years.
Dubbed the Lydden Hill Rallycross Charity Challenge, the new event will be held on Saturday, January 2 and is set to feature action from classes usually seen in the MSA British Rallycross Championship.
It will be held in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The circuit's new manager Paul Robinson said: "Lydden Hill be kicking off the new year in style, and what better way to do it than to raise money for charity.
"The New Year rallycross bash event has been a favorite in previous years, so we wanted to revive it, and use it as an opportunity to give something back at the same time.
"Therefore throughout the day, money will raised for a worthy cause."
A charity raffle will also star at the event.
"It’ll hopefully be a great day - we’re aiming to get a full range of classes along that normally race in the British Championship..." - Paul Robinson
Organisers expect the MSA SuperCar, Super National, HotHatch, Suzuki, Retro and RX150 classes to all feature.
Robinson added: "It’ll hopefully be a great day - we’re aiming to get a full range of classes along that normally race in the British Championship, so there will be a chance for as many drivers as possible to get out there and mix it up.
"2016 is a big year for Lydden Hill, and this is the perfect way to start things off."
Gates open will open at 9am on Saturday, January 2. Tickets will be available on the gate or in advance via info@lyddenhill.co.uk.
Last month, organisers of the FIA World Rallycross Championship confirmed the series will return to Lydden on May 28 and 29 next year.
