Youngsters invited to pad up for KCC courses

KENT Cricket Club are running a 10-week net-based coaching course, starting in the New Year at the Ames-Levett Indoor School at Canterbury. The course, aimed at seven to 17-year-olds, begins the week starting Monday, January 7 and continues until March 11.

Sessions will run from 4.30-5.30pm and 5.30-6.30pm each week and children will have the choice of attending either Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

The cost of each course is £40 and those attending should bring the following equipment: bat, pads, gloves, abdominal protector and non-marking trainers. Helmets are to be worn by all youngsters and can be provided. Further details may be obtained by phoning Ros Franklin on 01227 456886 ext 235.

Places are still available for two net-based courses being run at the Ames-Levett Indoor School during the Christmas holidays. Course one will be from 10-11am on Monday, December 31 to Friday, January 4, with course two running from 11am-noon on the same days.
