An appeal set up in the memory of teenager Jasmine Morris has raised more than £9,000 in a day.
More than 180 people, many anonymous, have donated money to help her grief-stricken family following Jasmine's death. She was struck by a train at Swanley railway station last Wednesday.
Among those paying tributes to her on a GoFundMe page was her former teacher Natasha Davison.
She said: "I taught Jasmine in Year 6 at St Mary's CE Primary school. She was such a beautiful, kind-hearted member of the class of 2014. I will remember all the special memories I had with Jasmine. She will be never be forgotten."
The page was set up yesterday by Eleanor Wall with a goal of raising £6,000. Within 24 hours it had been pledged £9,056.
Ms Wall said: "Our family is heart-broken beyond words. We have lost the most precious, beautiful talented, funny, most caring and kind-hearted princess ever at just 16.
"We are setting up this page to raise money to help my sister and her family give our beautiful Jasmine the best send-off that she deserves. She was truly loved by all who knew her."
She thanked everyone for their kind messages and offers of help. Floral tributes have also been left at the station.
