A small jewellers will be advertised for free on Barclays cash machines across north Kent as part of a pilot scheme to help local businesses.
Chris Parry Handmade Jewellery will have its logo appear on the screens of 50 ATMs near its base in the Old Paper Mill in South Darenth.
The scheme is being rolled out from today and is designed to give small and medium-sized firms which bank with Barclays a new way to market their services.
Chris Parry will appear on cash machines for a fortnight and is among just 60 companies across the country involved in the scheme.
The advert will be seen in Dartford, Gravesend, Bluewater, Welling, Sidcup, Erith, Longfield and Belvedere.
Owner Chris Parry said: “This is a great idea and offers a small firm like ours an opportunity to raise the awareness of our companies with a new audience.”
Barclays business manager Philip Hand said: “This ATM initiative is an ideal way to support our customer’s marketing activity and I’m pleased that we have been able to offer an innovative local business like Chris’ the opportunity to take part in the pilot.
“We are interested in hearing feedback from our customers to help measure the success of the scheme while we continue to look at other ways in which Barclays can support the local business community.”
More than 350 million people use Barclays 3,400 ATMs each year.
