Christmas came early at one care home when residents were treated to a bounty of hampers packed with festive goodies.
The bumper treat packages were put together by teachers and pupils at Craylands Primary School in Swanscombe and delivered to Haslington Lodge care home in Greenhithe ahead of the festivities.
Items included everything from jigsaw puzzles and magazines to clothing such as socks, jumpers, and even some luxury chocolates and biscuits.
Students also treated the residents at the dementia care provider to a carol concert, filmed and sent with the three hampers.
Care home manager Sally Ann Briggs said: “It felt like Christmas Day! To know people are thinking about us and care about us, it’s amazing.
“We loved the cards and special messages inside but the best bit was the special Christmas carol concert filmed and sent to us featuring the lovely pupils singing for us."
