A driver left fighting for her life after a crash on the A2 near Dartford has lost her battle.
Susan Palin was on her way home from work at the BBC in London on Friday, September 17, when her Ford Fiesta veered across the coastbound carriageway and hit a lamppost.
She was taken to the Royal London Hospital by air ambulance.
Her health deteriorated rapidly and the 49-year-old died on September 22 from head injuries sustained in the accident.
This week the talented graphic designer's family spoke of their grief and shock at their loss.
Miss Palin's brother Stuart said: "I can't begin to describe the shock we all felt when she passed away."
A huge motorbike fan, Miss Palin grew up in Faversham and lived alone in the town centre. Her family followed her wishes to donate several organs.
An inquest into her death has been opened by Poplar Coroner's Court and is due to be heard in December.
