A motorcylist was hospitalised after a crash involving two other vehicles on the A2 earlier this afternoon.

Motorists faced delays in Dartford and South East London following the accident on the coastbound stretch of the A2 at Wilmington at 4.20pm.

Police say the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, but said the road had reopened by 5pm.

Highways England says the stationary traffic has now cleared.
