An accident brought traffic at the Dartford Crossing to a standstill this morning.

Three of four lanes heading clockwise on the M25 were closed due to the incident between J31 of the A1306 Arterial Road West and J1A of the A282, shortly before 11am.

Police were called and one lane remains closed.

Normal traffic conditions are not expected to resume until around midday.
