An all year round funfair is set to follow the return of Winterland to Bluewater, under new plans announced by the shopping centre.
An application has been submitted to Dartford Council to use the West Car Park at Bluewater for events and leisure activities at a new "Centre Park", which would operate all year and include amusement rides and attractions, as well as food and drink stalls.
The shopping centre has also applied to use the car park seasonally, from mid-June to mid-September as 'The Beach', and from mid-November to mid-January as ‘Winterland’, which is due to return from next Saturday November 13.
The Centre Park will include a bumper car ride, family roller coaster, observation wheel, various other amusement rides, toilets, and stalls selling coffee, food and ice cream.
The Urban Beach - due to operate during the school summer holidays, every day between 11am and 9pm - is set to include a 2,400 square metre sandy beach, a family paddling pool and a ‘splash pool’, amusement rides including water based rides, food stalls and a ‘beach bar’ serving hot and cold food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
The Winterland event will include a "winter bumper car ride", family roller coaster, and various amusement rides with winter themes.
The application for use of the car park is for a three year temporary period.
