An ambulance burst into flames on the M25 this evening.

The fire started on the clockwise carriageway between junction 2 for the A2 Darenth Interchange and junction 3 for the M20 Swanley Interchange.

Two fire crews were called and had the blaze under control just after 8.30pm.

Two of four lanes were closed causing long delays.

No-one is thought to have been injured.
