A total of ten people have been charged following protests in Kent on the M25.
It comes after a number of Just Stop Oil protesters blocked the motorway this week.
On Monday and Tuesday, there were long delays after protesters climbed onto the overhead gantries along the motorway.
On the next day of protests, a police officer was injured in a lorry crash and two people were arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance.
Yesterday, a car was stopped and searched near Westerham where a group of people were detained and climbing equipment was seized.
Today, the following individuals were charged with conspiracy to commit public nuisance by Kent Police and were due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
- David Mann, 50, of Kerry Avenue, Ipswich
- Cressida Gethin, 20, of The Southend Ledbury, Herefordshire
- Guido Wieser, 18, of Pentonville Road, London
- Christopher Ford, 45, of Carlton Way, Cambridge
- Phoebe Plummer, 21, of Elms Road, London
Five others were charged earlier this week.
Arrests have also been made by the Metropolitan Police service.
