Emergency services at scene of serious A2 crash near Bean

Emergency services were called to the scene of a serious crash on the A2.

The incident was reported on the coastbound carriageway at Bean, near Dartford.

Traffic was held at the Bean Junction (B255 Bean Lane) while crews dealt with the incident involving a car and a lorry, which happened at about 10.20am.

The road had reopened by 1pm and delays have since cleared.

At one point, National Highways reported two miles of congestion leading back to junction two of the M25 at the Darenth Interchange.

Police say a woman was treated for her injuries at the scene, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.
