More than 100 youngsters have joined forces for this summer’s community production at The Orchard Theatre.

Youngsters aged nine to 19 have been working with a professional team to learn and rehearse Bugsy Malone in just two weeks, with performances starting today (Thursday).

Set in 1929 New York, Bugsy Malone is the tale of an ex-boxer of the same name who teams up with Fat Sam Stacetto in his feud against Dandy Dan’s hoodlums.

Featuring all-out gang warfare with more than a few musical numbers, the show plays here in Dartford until Saturday.

Tickets are still available for tonight and tomorrow, both at 7.30pm, and at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday.
