Police appeal after man reportedly used a weapon to threaten shop staff and stole a quantity of cash in Watling Street, Dartford.

Officers from Kent Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery after an unsuccessful manhunt.

Officers were called at 1.26pm on Wednesday, May 18 to a report of a man using a weapon to threaten a member of staff at Watling Convenience Store in Watling Street, Dartford.

A quantity of cash is reported to have been taken and the suspect then fled from the shop on foot.

Initial reports suggested two men were involved, but after further police investigations, officers are only now looking for one.

The suspect is described as a white man aged 18 to 25 years old, around 5ft 8 inches and of medium build.

He was believed to be wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood pulled up and dark coloured trousers with bright white trainers.

Inquiries are ongoing.
