Two men arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery after incident at petrol station in Swanley

Armed police arrested two men after an alleged attempted robbery at a petrol station.

Officers with guns were called to the Harvest petrol station in London Road at the junction of Birchwood Road, Swanley shortly after 7pm last night.

They carried out a search of the area with the help of police dogs.

The alleged attempted robbery happened at the Harvest petrol station

The men, who are aged 25 and 32 are both Swanley were arrested on suspicion of robbery and are currently being questioned.

Police spokesman Vicki Foster said: "Kent Police was called at 7.14pm.

"Two men were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

"They remain in custody at this time."
