Armed police in Suffolk Road, Dartford, after robbery

Armed police were called after reports a man was robbed by a gang armed with a weapon in Dartford.

Officers confirmed they were called to Suffolk Road just before 6pm.

Armed police were called as a "precaution"

A police spokesman said: "The victim is reported to have been threatened with a weapon before a mobile phone was stolen.

"Officers have attended the scene and searched the area, with the assistance of armed officers, who attended as a precaution.

"Enquiries to locate the suspects are ongoing."
