A boy was arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle.

The 16-year-old failed to stop for police after a helicopter was called in to assist the search for him, just before midnight on Sunday.

He later ditched the car and ran off in Elm Road, Dartford, before being caught.

He was later released without charge and enquiries are ongoing.
