Police are hunting two teenagers who snatched a mobile phone from a 14-year-old boy in Swanley.

The victim, walking along St Mary’s Road with his younger brother, was approached by the boys at around 4:15pm on March 21.

He was asked for the time and the victim checked it on his black iPhone 4S.

The boys crossed the road but, a short while later, they attacked the victim as he came out of an alleyway leading from St Mary’s Road to Ruxton Close.

The victim suffered a bite to his hand and was punched in the nose before the attackers made off with his phone and his bank debit card.

They were both seen running back up the alleyway towards St Mary’s Road.

One of the boys was described as a white male, aged 15 or 16 years old, with short blond hair.

He was slim, around 5ft 6ins tall and was wearing grey jogging bottoms.

The second suspect, another white male, was around 16 years old and with dark brown spiky hair.

He was wearing a grey vest top, as well as dirty blue and white jeans.

Police officers are asking for anyone who witnessed the initial conversation in St Mary’s Road, the attack in Ruxton Close or who saw two boys running away at around 4:30pm to contact them.

PC Ben Clatworthy, who is leading the investigation, said: "A 14-year-old boy and his 11-year-old brother should not have to be subjected to an ordeal such as this.

"As the incident happened in the middle of a Sunday afternoon, near the town centre, I very much hope that someone saw the attackers and can help us identify them."
