A BUNGLING burglar who was left dangling after trying to break in through a window has admitted a string of other offences.

John Michael Pearce, of Browning Road, Dartford, was caught hanging upside down after his foot became wedged in the window in Fulwich Road, Dartford, last month.

The 32-year-old had to be freed by police and paramedics but not before a small crowd as well owners Paul Ives and Angela Gloyn had gathered to laugh at him.

He pleaded guilty to burglary with intent to steal on August 15, but Dartford Magistrates Court also heard on Friday that he had admitted to 12 other offences, from theft to an assault on a police officer.

David Skelton, prosecuting, told how these included another three separate dwelling burglaries.

Chairman of magistrates Anthony Scott remanded Pearce in custody and committed him to Maidstone Crown Court for sentencing on all charges on September 19.
