Suspected burglars from Kent have been held in custody after appearing in court.

The pair, from Dartford and West Kingsdown, were in court today accused of two offences following an incident in Essex last week.

They were both charged with burglary and theft and a separate charge of harassment with fear of violence.

The case was heard at Maidstone Crown Court

Benjamin Chapman, 22, of Crowhurst Lane, West Kingsdown and Thomas Harber, 20, of Darenth Wood Road in Dartford, faced the charges at Medway Magistrates Court today.

Both men have been remanded in custody in connection with an alleged burglary at a property in Essex last Wednesday.

They will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on September 18.
