A financial advisor from Dartford is set to rack up the miles as part of a mega running challenge in aid of a children's bereavement charity.
Brian Downton will run four miles every four hours over the Easter bank holiday weekend.
The financial advisor's running challenge will see him notch up the equivalent of two marathons in two days.
It's in aid of Holding On Letting Go, a Rochester-based charity which supports bereaved children across Kent and south east London, when someone they love has died or is about to die.
Brian, who is a business partner for Dartford-based mortgage brokers, Downton and Ali Associates, is no stranger to a running challenge.
He regularly participated in endurance events before the pandemic including an Ironman in Austria.
But his latest challenge will be his first for some time and he is encouraging anyone able to lend their support to get involved.
“I really enjoy these kind of challenges and it’s great to get back into them after the last year," he said.
“Holding On Letting Go is a fantastic charity and now I’m a trustee, I wanted to get behind them with this fundraiser."
He added: “I’m looking for some support from businesses who can buy a logo on the back of my shirt, join me for a run or a bit of one, celebrate at the finish line with me or sponsor me.
“It’s a challenge I’ve had my eye on for a while and I’m looking forward to spending the Easter weekend doing it – I’ll have earned my chocolate eggs at the end!”
