THERE was no going back for a motorist who probably wished he could reverse this manoeuvre.

The incident occurred when a driver accidentally put his car in the wrong gear and reversed on top of a Ford Galaxy waiting at the lights behind him.

Onlookers were stunned when the car backed up onto the bonnet, only stopping when the tyres went through the windscreen.

The incident happened as drivers queued at traffic lights at the Princes Road and Heath Land junction in Dartford. Police are carrying out a routine investigation.
