Car seized in Bean after police spotted its cardboard registration plates

A BMW has been seized by police after officers spotted its cardboard registration plates.

The driver was pulled over in Bean Lane, Bean, at about 9.40pm last night.

A police spokesman said: "A patrol from Kent Police’s Roads Policing Unit stopped a car travelling in Bean Lane due to it being uninsured.

"The car was subsequently seized and the driver been reported for road traffic offences."

The Kent Police Roads Policing Unit (RPU) tweeted after the incident at about 10.15pm last night.

Officers warned cardboard registration plates would "definitely generate police attention" and said the driver had "a long walk home" after the car was seized.
